Pamper Yourself

If you are feeling stressed a great way to sit back and relax is to pamper yourself. Schedule a spa day for yourself full of relaxation and free from any wedding planning stressors.

Drink Some Tea

Peppermint or lavender tea has calming properties that will help you feel relaxed. Make some tea, sit back and enjoy a little peace if only for a few minutes or so.

Zone Out & Listen to Some Tunes

Music allows us to tune out of the world and our worries for a bit making it one of the best stress-relievers around. Put on your headphones, play your favorite music and zone out from thinking about seating charts and choosing the right DJ for your wedding day.

Get Some Rest

Make sure you are getting enough sleep during the entirety of the wedding planning process. This will help to alleviate stress throughout. If you are having difficulty getting to sleep an all-natural spray infused with essential oils of lavender, vetivert and wild camomile should help you out. A few sprays of this scent and you’ll fall into an effortless slumber and wake up completely energized. Try to even take a nap during the day to get a break from planning.

Clean Up!

Cleaning is a great way to think about something else for a while. Pick an area that you know needs to be cleaned and clean it up. Not only will you focus on cleaning for the time period that it will take to get it done but you will also get a sense of satisfaction every time you see that area.

Laughter

Laughter is said to be the best form of medicine. Watch a funny movie, go see a comedian or just go do something that you know makes you happy. Get away from the stress and go to a place of laughter and cheer.

Unplug

Get away from all forms of media for a little bit and just relax without family and friends asking you all about what you have planned for the wedding and making their suggestions. Just be free of it all just for a little while.

Get Outside

Say No

To all who have incessantly been requesting that they sit with one person, not sit with another and recommending that you have the wedding of their dreams just say no. This is you and your fiancee’s wedding, not anyone else’s. Don’t let them make you stress out more with their recommendations and requests. Just say no.

Delegate & Ask for Help

Those who honestly want to help you create the wedding of your dreams should be able to. Lean on these people. Give them a task to do to take it off of your shoulders. Asking for help doesn’t mean you can’t plan the wedding, it just means that you need a little assistance to make sure your wedding vision comes to life.

Exercise

A workout can assist in focusing on something else and also will help you feel better in general. Go to a local gym, take a class and get out all of your wedding day frustrations!

Remember the “Why”

You are not just planning a wedding to plan a wedding. You are planning a wedding to celebrate the love you share with your fiancee with your family and friends. Remember why you want to marry that person and become their partner for life and that will make all the difference.
