Valentine’s Day Wedding Inspiration

#WeddingWednesday: Valentine’s Day Wedding Inspiration

A Valentine’s Day wedding theme can be classic, elegant and unforgettable if done correctly.  Having a Valentine’s Day theme does not mean that you have to include tacky items into your day; it just gives you a better idea of what colors and mood you want to express on your day.  If you want a romantic wedding that all of your guests will remember, then check out our Valentine’s Day wedding theme inspiration below.

The cake is always one of the best places to incorporate your theme.  Not only will it be on display for much of the evening (before being eaten) but it is also a focal point of many of your pictures.  The cake is one of the easiest to manipulate.  It can be as inclusive of the theme as you want it to be.  The cake pictured below is a subtly elegant representation of the Valentine’s Day theme.  It includes beautiful flowers in different shades of pink as well as a golden arrow, symbolizing Cupid’s arrow going through the cake.  The cake itself may be white but that is what makes it the perfect Valentine’s Day wedding cake.  It is subtle yet continues to stick with the theme.

Have a specialty drink for your guests to enjoy on your day.  The drink below would be the perfect choice.  It is a Raspberry Pink Champagne Float.  Included in the beverage is Raspberry Sorbet and Pink Champagne.  The color of the beverage will complement the Valentine’s Day theme perfectly.

A popular trend today for brides is to wear a blush wedding dress.  This would be an easy way to incorporate your attire into the theme without going overboard.  Like the bride below, put a pink flower in your hair that matches your bouquet.

Have a photograph taken with all of your guests holding heart shaped balloons to show just how much love you are surrounded by on your wedding day.  This is sure to be a photo that will be cherished forever by all.  To avoid littering the planet with your balloons collect them all into one following the photo and ensure that they are secured to the ground in some way.  This way you will not be dancing into balloons the whole night and it does not look as though all you decorated your wedding with was heart shaped balloons.  You will be able to get back to the elegance of the affair following the photo and have a lot of love to take home with you following your wedding day.  They will serve as a loving reminder of the day you said “I do” until they cannot remain inflated anymore.

Create a romantic tablescape with your centerpieces.  Floating candles are always an elegant touch.  Add pink or red flower petals to the water to create a beautiful display.  If you are utilizing round tables then place about three floating candles of different sizes on each table and surround them with small votives.  If you are using banquet tables then place floating candles down the length of the center of the table with the small votives in between.  Include more pink petals amidst all of the candles for a greater pop of color.

For the guest book, have your guests write you and your partner “Love Letters.”  This is a cute way to incorporate the Valentine’s Day theme into your wedding day.  It is simple and your guests will appreciate seeing the theme included throughout the day.
