Oktoberfest Time Is Here!
Fall brings changing leaves, pumpkin spice lattes from Starbucks and beer. Why beer? you may ask. Well, the third weekend in September until the first Sunday in October is known as Oktoberfest, though there are numerous celebrations to commemorate the occasion throughout the month of October. Oktoberfest is known for its beer which came to fruition in Germany. Thanks to the marriage between Bavarian Crown Prince Louis and Princess Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen, Oktoberfest exists today. The couple invited the citizens of Munich to attend the festivities which were held on the fields in front of the city gates. Since then, Oktoberfest has become an annual event across the globe. More than one million gallons of beer are consumed each year at the event.
Thanks to Oktoberfest, we have a reason to throw big festivals throughout the month of October. In recent years, beer festivals in general have become a popular event at various locations. Of course, during Oktoberfest time is when a majority of these events take place. It’s a great time to try out that new beer and enjoy some German-inspired food! Here are some great tips for your food and beer selections from Germanfoods.org
If you don’t have the proper indoor space to host one of these events then why not rent a tent? A tent will provide you proper cover in case it rains. Our tent heaters can also provide warmth if it is too cool for your guests outside. It’s starting to get cooler in October and you wouldn’t want to take any risks! The tent will also provide a blank canvas for you to decorate in fall colors and show your Oktoberfest spirit. We have many lighting packages that would help to re-create the classic German Oktoberfest environment. If you are going to hire a band, we can provide staging options so that all of your guests will be able to see them- and a dance floor too of course!
October is such an exciting month and we enjoy every second of it. Oktoberfest is one of those events that we especially love. It brings people together and allows them to celebrate fall and just enjoy themselves.
