Want to have fun, get muddy, and at the same time donate to a great cause? If so, then head on over to the Willard Athletic Complex in Devens, Massachusetts, for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s MuckFest MS Boston this upcoming weekend on Saturday, May 14 (SOLD OUT) and Sunday, May 15. The first wave begins each day at 9 A.M. and a new wave starts every twenty minutes thereafter. The price is $105 per person. There is a Lil’ Muckers play area for those who are too young to participate. All fundraising proceeds go to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society to help families affected by multiple sclerosis and to work towards finding a cure for the debilitating disease.
If you don’t know what Multiple Sclerosis is, it is a disease which affects the Central Nervous System, disrupting communication between the brain and the rest of the body. Symptoms can range from numbness to paralysis. It affects approximately 2.3 million people worldwide. Supporting the fight against Multiple Sclerosis is a benefit all on its own.
The benefits of this event are endless. While supporting a great cause by fundraising, you also are helping to bring awareness to a disease that is not often at the forefront. Also, you will get a race bib, a MuckFest MS t-shirt, a free beer (or soda if you are not 21+), MuckFestival and Lil’ Muckers admission, free event photos, and free parking just for participating.
The course itself is a 5k which includes various obstacles including a Spider Web, Shake and Quake, the AbbVie Spinner, walk on water and many more. No matter what, during this event you will get muddy and you will enjoy your time doing so. What better way is there to support such an amazing cause?
We will once again be providing more than 25 tents as well as other rentals the event. It is our pleasure to have our rentals at such a seriously fun event for such a great cause. Even if you can’t make it to the event, you can always make a donation to support the fight against multiple sclerosis. This year $492,526.30 has already been raised!
