#MenuMonday: No-Bake Chocolate, Peanut Butter Cornflake Bars
This #MenuMonday we have a tasty treat for you. This recipe from food.com for no-bake chocolate, peanut butter cornflake bars is one you don’t want to miss out on. Chocolate and peanut butter were always meant to be and the added crunch from the cornflakes makes these bars a perfect treat for any occasion. These treats will be the hit of the party. This recipe can easily be used on the dessert table for a wedding or for any festivities you have planned year round. If you need a last minute dessert for your party these are perfect because they are easy to make as there is no baking required. The picture alone will make your mouth water.
- 3 cups corn flakes, crushed
- 1 cup peanut butter
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ cup white corn syrup
- 6 ounces chocolate chips
- Heat peanut butter, sugar and corn syrup over low heat to melt. Stir in cereal.
- Pat into an 8×8 lightly greased pan. (You can use parchment paper instead of greasing the pan as it makes it easier to simply pull the bars out of the pan at the end)
- Melt chocolate chips over low heat or in the microwave and spread over top. Cool until firm.
Yield: 16 Servings
