#FeatureFriday: Battle at the Bay
Do you want to see the Massachusetts State Police Boxing Team take on The Police and Community Boxing Association of England? Then head over to the Marina Bay Sportsplex on September 16 to see the 40th annual Battle at the Bay!
The battle will feature the Denver City Brotherhood, Mass Corrections Officers Federated Union, New York FD and Boston PD. This event will also include the first female trooper to ever fight for the Massachusetts State Police Boxing Team and a 30 year-old veteran who is looking to have his 20th fight and get on the Wall of Fame.
The Massachusetts State Police Boxing Team is the only state police boxing team in the United States. The team is made up of Troopers of the State Police, local police, corrections officers, deputy sheriffs and firefighters from across the bay state of Massachusetts. The team has donated over $735,000 to local charities in the Commonwealth from all 155 shows that they have held.
Looking to buy some tickets for the battle? Head on over to the Massachusetts State Police Boxing Team’s website. Tickets are $25 and all proceeds from ticket sales will go to the Trooper Clardy Family Fund. Trooper Clardy died about six months ago on March 16, 2016 when a speeding car crashed into his stationary vehicle on the Mass Pike.
This year B.C. Tent will be providing chairs for the event. We are happy to support such a great cause and look forward to the event!
