#FeatureFriday: South Shore Indie Music Festival
Are you interested in original, edgy music? If so, the 2nd annual South Shore Indie Music Festival will be coming to the Fuller Craft Museum in Brockton on June 11 from 12 P.M. to 8 P.M. The rain date for the event is June 12. This year’s theme will be sustainability and the official slogan is: Art Sustains Us.

Throughout the day there will be food trucks, craft beer, craft activities for adults and kids, vendors, artist interviews, sustainability talks and films and artwork inside and outside of the museum. The museum will have six exhibitions on display celebrating contemporary craft. Two stages will be used for performances outside. The bands performing this year at the indie music festival are: Aldous Collins, Chachi Carvalho, Will Dailey, Shea Rose, Wheat, The Quins, Hayley Thompson-King, Christina Alexander, Grace Morrison, Sadie Vada, The Parkington Sisters, Ada, Jenna Lotti, Christa Gniadek, Emily Grogan, Shane Tyler, The Wolff Sisters, Bruvs, Dark Matter, and Carlston Wood and the Wood Street Band. Keeping with the theme of sustainability, there will be films, crafts and guest speakers which will share information on how to lessen our environmental impact on earth and the future generations that will be affected by our actions. Demonstrations will be provided by Project Green Schools, Equal Exchange and Solar City. Brockton-based artist, Duken Delpe will convert the stage into an interactive sculpture made completely from recycled metal. Audience members can participate by adding pieces of recycled metal to the sculpture during the musical performances. It will commemorate the day’s festivities as a community sculpture.
This is the second year that our rental items will be present at the indie music festival. This year we will set up one of our stages with our frame tent on top of it. We are excited to be a part of this great event again. It is sure to be an fun event so be sure to check it out!
