#WeddingWednesday: Bar Details
Many couples may not initially think of the bar when formulating the details for their wedding day. These bar details in some cases may be a necessity either to let people know what drinks you are having or to add a cute and humorous touch to your wedding day festivities. No matter what you choose to include, your guests will be impressed by the thought that you put into this aspect on your wedding day.
If you are having signature drinks, you should have a sign with the name of the drink along with the ingredients. This way if the drink is being passed, your guests will know what they’re drinking. If the beverage is not being served but being made by the glass at the bar your guests will know exactly what to order.
Another great touch to add to the bar are colorful paper straws. These will add a sense of fun to your bar and your guests will enjoy the cute touch.
You can also warn your guests that there is a good chance that anything they do tonight will be caught on camera. If you are having an open bar this sign would be especially good for you.
As a favor for your guests you could include koozies at the bar for your guests to put their beer bottles in. If you add any writing on the koozies be sure to just include a cute saying. Try not to include your names and wedding date as people may want to use them at a later date.
A great touch to any wedding is having your own personalized cocktail napkins. They’re cute and can be laid out on the bar to add a personalized touch.
If you are having your wedding and/or reception outside or in a tent then setting up an outside bar is a must. To obtain a rustic feel utilize wooden barrels and put a wooden board on top of them. Ensure the wooden board is sturdy as you wouldn’t want it to break in the middle of your event. Let your guests know what beverages are available by choosing the person in the wedding party with the best handwriting and have them write the menu on a chalkboard.
One popular bar sign for weddings says “Alcohol. Because no great love story started with a salad.” This is a quote that your guests will remember as it’s funny and if you think about it, it really is true.
