#FeatureFriday: Duxbury Bay Maritime School Opening of the Bay
The 19th annual Opening of the Bay celebration was held by the Duxbury Bay Maritime School over Memorial Day weekend.
The first day included a dockside gala at the Duxbury Bay Maritime School which went from 5:30 P.M. to 10:30 P.M. At the gala there was local catering from Island Creek Oysters and The Silent Chef. Entertainment included dancing under the stars, live music, and a silent auction. The day’s festivities were 21+.
The second day was family fun day and went from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. This event was free and there was a wide variety of fun and games for the whole family to enjoy. 
All proceeds from the weekend will support the Duxbury Bay Maritime School’s ever expanding programs in ecology, sailing, rowing, SUP, kayaking, windsurfing, AccesSail and other maritime-related courses.
This year we provided frame tents, marquee tents, tables, the dance floor, and the beautiful décor. We are excited that our rentals were at an event that is so beneficial for maritime education.
