#WeddingWednesday: Saint Patrick’s Day Wedding Inspiration
Feel the luck of the Irish on your wedding day with this Saint Patrick’s Day Wedding Inspiration. Your guests will love your attention to detail and the unique design of your wedding day.
Set the table with festive dishes and utensils. Use golden silverware to make a statement. Not only is this an unusual flatware choice but it also looks elegant, making it the perfect choice for your Saint Patrick’s Day wedding tablescape. To keep the dishes simplistic, select a light gold charger and white plates. For the napkin either choose a green napkin or a white napkin with an emerald green napkin band. If you are adding a small favor put it in a small gold box to complete your tablescape. This will help you to communicate the theme to your guests at the reception from the moment they sit down.
Add some green and gold to your centerpieces for your Saint Patrick’s Day Wedding. This couple used floating candles and dyed the water green. They also used gold mercury candle votives and green ribbon. This is a classy and subtle way to incorporate your Saint Patrick’s Day theme to your wedding.
If you love candy, have a candy bar at your reception! Use gold and green candies to highlight the theme. Add white candy as an accent color. It will not take away from the overall goal of a Saint Patrick’s Day wedding candy bar.
To show off your Saint Patrick’s Day spirit throughout the day, the groom can wear a green shirt and boutonniere. The bride can wear a green shawl if it is cold and a green sash to highlight the colors of the day. Make sure you get a photo of your Saint Patrick’s Day wedding holding a themed banner. This photo will be perfect to include on your thank you cards so all of your guests will look back on your wedding day when they see it.
Dress your bridesmaids in green! Select any shade of green to highlight the theme of your wedding day. You can also choose gold dresses and have the bridesmaids hold green bouquets if you want to tone down the green on your day.
Instead of the traditional white dress you can wear green on your wedding day. If you want your wedding to differ from the norm but don’t want to wear emerald green on your wedding, you can always wear a mint green dress, adding a subtle green hue to your wedding day. If you want to go the traditional route and wear green on your wedding day wear a white dress with green accents like in the photo below.
Add greenery to your bouquet with white accent flowers. The bouquet will elegantly identify your theme from the very beginning. If done right, you can also save money in the process as greenery is cheaper than most florals.
