America’s Hometown Thanksgiving Celebration This Weekend

20

Looking for something fun for the whole family? America’s Hometown Thanksgiving Celebration will take place this weekend in Plymouth. Our team has been working around the clock to prepare for this spectacular annual occasion. Celebrations kick off on Friday, the 22nd with the PIDC Patriotic Concert at Memorial Hall at 7pm. Doors open at 6pm for general seating. This is a phenomenal show that many of our staff members have attended over the years.

Saturday is the “big day” for us because it is the day of the Parade on the waterfront. Saturday’s events begin at 10:30 in the morning. Make sure to arrive early to beat traffic and get a close parking spot! This parade is ranked the second best Thanksgiving Parade in the nation. There are different floats that represent all different time periods of America’s history from the 17th century to today. There are all different types of bands and musical entertainment included as well including drum and bugle corps and military bands. The many tents that our team has been setting up all week include a kids tent, crafters tent and a giant food tent to name a few.

12- December

We are so excited to be a part of this event every year. We are happy to hear that the town of Plymouth residents feel the same! Here is an e-mail we received this morning:
Hi Bob,

I’m sure this is catching you at a busy time, but, as a Plymouth resident, I just thought I’d let you know that, thanks in part to the great work of your crew, excitement is really growing in Plymouth.  Earlier in the week one of my neighbors shared with everyone who was within earshot, “The tents are going up!  Have you been on Water Street?”

The work of BC Tent is a great precursor to the excitement of the season, and in that spirit, I just wanted to share my thanks for all that you and your staff do to add to that great feeling.  The tents look great!

Thanks, Bob, and hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Sincerely,
Nicole”
